Traditionally orthodontics has been seen as the best way to straighten teeth, but the lengthy treatment time does not suit everyone.
Veneers are a good alternative. They can deal with damaged teeth, stained teeth or unsightly gaps and provide the sparkling white results you want, without the time delay of realignment.
Dental veneers are thin, specially shaped pieces of porcelain, bonding material or ceramic. They are laminates which are attached to the front of your teeth in order to improve the aesthetics of your smile. They are a quick, convenient, painless and simple path to a fantastic smile.
One of the greatest attributes of veneers is that they are so versatile. They can be utilised to cosmetically resolve chips, general wear & tear, staining to the enamel, improve the appearance of protruding or crooked teeth or even close gaps between your teeth. All this can be achieved without the need for braces or other long-term corrective treatments.
Dental veneers are long-lasting and durable. Porcelain veneers – the most popular type – usually last between ten and fifteen years if you retain a good oral health regime. Porcelain also provides a natural-looking match for real tooth enamel. Your dentist can help you look after them with regular check-ups and advice every six months.
During preparation, the existing teeth are trimmed to allow for the new veneers and a detailed impression taken. Temporary veneers are then provided.
Any necessary final adjustments can then be incorporated. The new veneers are specially bonded to your existing teeth, polished and adjusted.
This process is completely pain free and our professional team will be on-hand through the whole process.
